Volleyball Game Preview: Horizon Huskies vs. Notre Dame Prep Saints

The Horizon Huskies will venture away from home to challenge the Notre Dame Prep Saints at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Horizon is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

In Thursday's Canine Competition, Horizon prevailed. Everything went their way against Desert Mountain on Thursday as they made off with a 3-0 win.

Horizon was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-14, 25-21.

Horizon's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Tessa Caldwell, who had eight digs and two assists, and Nia Tinsley, who had eight kills and five digs. Tinsley has been hot, having posted five or more kills the last eight times she's played.

Meanwhile, Notre Dame Prep faced Chaparral in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Saints lost 3-0 to the Firebirds. The Saints' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Horizon's victory bumped their record up to 18-10. As for Notre Dame Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-11.

Horizon beat Notre Dame Prep 3-1 in their previous matchup on October 7th. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Huskies since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
