Soccer Recap: Kaufman Takes a Loss

Kaufman lost against Red Oak back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Kaufman Lions took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Oak Hawks. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Their goal came courtesy of Kennedi Townsend, who's now up to two this season.

Kaufman's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Red Oak, they pushed their record up to 12-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Kaufman face off against the Corsicana at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Corsicana will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Kaufman surely won't give up without a fight. As for Red Oak, they will welcome Midlothian Heritage at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Red Oak is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.9 goals per game this season.
