Softball Game Preview: Craigmont Chiefs vs. Raleigh-Egypt Pharaohs

The Craigmont Chiefs will challenge the Raleigh-Egypt Pharaohs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Craigmont comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Craigmont is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They came up short against Whitehaven on Wednesday, falling 14-4.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Raleigh-Egypt brought some dynamite into their most recent matchup. They blew past Westwood 16-3 on Monday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Pharaohs' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Keira Ressler made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Ressler was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

In other batting news, Kennedy Hawkins was a standout: she scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Jaleha Robinson was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Craigmont's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Raleigh-Egypt, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
