Baseball Game Preview: Normangee Panthers vs. Buffalo Bison

Normangee is 0-3 against Buffalo since February of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Normangee Panthers will square off against the Buffalo Bison at 9:30 a.m. Buffalo took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Normangee, who comes in off a win.

Last Monday, Normangee got the win against Snook by a conclusive 7-1.

Farrell Butler made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Butler was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times he's played.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cashton Kubiak, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Billy Makepeace, who scored a run while going 2-for-5.

Meanwhile, Buffalo fell victim to Centerville and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 11-0 to the Tigers.

Normangee might still be hurting after the 8-1 loss they got from Buffalo in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Normangee avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
