Football Recap: South Miami Piles Up the Points Against Sunset

After low-scoring totals in their previous five contests, South Miami brought some dynamite into their most recent match. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Sunset Knights 42-0. The Cobras pushed the score to 35-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Knights had no chance of recovering from.

Aubrey Gisbert threw for 114 yards and two touchdowns on perfect 5-for-5 passing. Kaylee Mendez was her top target, picking up 105 receiving yards and one TD.

South Miami's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Sunset, they dropped their record down to 0-9 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home.

As of now, neither South Miami nor the Knights have any future games scheduled.
