Basketball Game Preview: Wayne Badgers vs. Tabiona Tigers

Having just played yesterday, the Wayne Badgers will jump right back in to play the Tabiona Tigers at 11:30 a.m. on Friday. Wayne is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Wayne is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. Everything went their way against Grand County on Thursday as Wayne made off with a 61-38 victory. The Badgers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Among those leading the charge was Raegyn Blackburn, who went 6 of 7 on her way to 15 points. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Paizlee Jackson, who posted ten points.

Wayne was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Tabiona's undefeated season came to an end after three games last Tuesday. They took a 49-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Duchesne. The loss was the Tigers' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Tabiona fell to 3-1. As for Wayne, their win bumped their record up to 6-0.

Wayne might still be hurting after the 60-40 loss they got from Tabiona in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Can Wayne avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
