Soccer Recap: Northridge Takes a Loss

Northridge entered their game against Homewood on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Jaguars came up short against the Patriots, falling 3-0. Northridge were not able to make up for their defeat to Homewood from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Northridge and nudges their season record down to 12-3-2. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 21-0 Oak Mountain (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 95.5% over those games). As for Homewood, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northridge will challenge Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Homewood, they will square off against Oak Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
