The Lake Brantley Patriots are taking a road trip to square off against the Hagerty Huskies at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Brantley's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so Hagerty's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Lake Brantley is headed into the match having just suffered their closest defeat since February 18th on Friday. They fell just short of Lyman by a score of 3-1. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lucas Ostolaza was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out seven batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Lake Brantley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tanner Morgan, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Hagerty entered their tilt with Lake Howell on Friday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Silverhawks. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Huskies considering their one-run performance the contest before.
A. Pantoja made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Pantoja was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Hagerty let B. Levy and M. Murray Jr. run wild. Levy scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Murray Jr. scored two runs while going 2-for-3. What's more, Murray Jr. posted two doubles, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. R. Foscolo was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Hagerty always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lake Howell only posted an OBP of .300.
Hagerty pushed their record up to 18-2 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Lake Brantley, their loss dropped their record down to 13-5.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Lake Brantley has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.3 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Hagerty struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 9.4 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Lake Brantley couldn't quite get it done against Hagerty in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 5-1. Can Lake Brantley avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
