Baseball Game Preview: Mountain Empire Redhawks vs. High Tech CV Bruins

Mountain Empire hasn't had much luck against High Tech CV recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Redhawks will welcome the Bruins at 3:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Liberty Charter hit Mountain Empire with a eight-run fourth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Redhawks took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions. Redhawks fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Lions since on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 14 runs the game before, High Tech CV was a bit more limited in their matchup on Monday. They lost 11-2 to Escondido Charter. The Bruins have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

High Tech CV saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dyllin Ledezma, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Mountain Empire's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 13-5. As for High Tech CV, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.

Mountain Empire took their win against High Tech CV when the teams last played two weeks ago by a conclusive 16-6 score. Will the Redhawks repeat their success, or do the Bruins have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
