Recap: HEA Firebirds HomeSchool vs. Western Reserve Academy Pioneers
HEA Firebirds HomeSchool had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They managed a 44-38 win over Western Reserve Academy.
Despite the loss, Western Reserve Academy still got an impressive performance from Brooklyn Hall, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. The matchup was Hall's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Jordyn Steindl was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with five rebounds.
HEA Firebirds HomeSchool's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Western Reserve Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.
HEA Firebirds HomeSchool will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Capital HomeSchool at 8:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Western Reserve Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against South Bend Washington at 4:00 p.m. on December 16th. South Bend Washington will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
