Baseball Game Preview: Kolbe-Cathedral Cougars vs. Thomaston Bears

Kolbe-Cathedral is on a six-game streak of home losses, and Thomaston a five-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. The Kolbe-Cathedral Cougars will be playing at home against the Thomaston Bears at 4:30 p.m. Kolbe-Cathedral has given up an average of 8.8 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Kolbe-Cathedral lost 16-1 to Joel Barlow on Monday.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Thomaston). They blew past Wilby 20-3 on Wednesday. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by eight runs or more this season.

Another player making a difference was Cam Johnson, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

Thomaston always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .675. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Thomaston's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Kolbe-Cathedral, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.
