The Memphis East Mustangs will face off against the Hillcrest Vikings at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Memphis East is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.1 goals per game this season.

Hillcrest better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Memphis East's game on Wednesday is any indication, that's when Memphis East really gets things going. The Mustangs never let Freedom Prep Academy get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. The result kept Memphis East happy, as they haven't lost a game since April 1st.

They hit Freedom Prep Academy with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Evan Yow, Ethan Freeman, and Randy Butler.

Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks on offense in their last five matchups, Hillcrest finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They came up short against White Station, falling 3-0. Hillcrest's defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Memphis East pushed their record up to 10-2-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those four contests. As for Hillcrest, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.

Everything went Memphis East's way against Hillcrest in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as Memphis East made off with a 6-0 win. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
