South Gate and South East are an even 3-3 against one another since March of 2022, but not for long. The South Gate Rams will be playing at home against the South East Jaguars at 2:30 p.m. on Monday.

On Thursday, South Gate came up short against Legacy and fell 3-1.

South Gate was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Legacy work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 27-25, 20-25, 25-22.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for South East, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Roosevelt on Thursday. The Jaguars haven't had any issues with the Rough Riders recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

South East took Roosevelt into a fifth set where they got it done with a seven-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 27-25, 25-23, 27-29, 15-8.

South East's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for South Gate, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.

South Gate came out on top in a nail-biter against South East in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Will South Gate repeat their success, or does South East have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
