Softball Recap: Southwest Florida Christian King's vs. Everglades City Gators
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Southwest Florida Christian). Everything went their way against the Everglades City Gators on Thursday as the Southwest Florida Christian King's made off with a 19-1 win. The King's haven't had any issues with the Gators recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Natalie Recker made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
