Volleyball Recap: Shepherd Pirates vs. Tarkington Longhorns
Shepherd was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Tarkington Longhorns. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pirates of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September.
The final score came out to 25-22, 25-7, 21-25, 25-15.
Tarkington can attribute much of their success to Maddy Kelly, who had 11 digs.
Shepherd's defeat dropped their record down to 7-18. As for Tarkington, their record now sits at 22-15.
Shepherd will head out on the road to face off against Liberty at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Tarkington, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Livingston on the 15th.
