Basketball Recap: Oak Hill Extends Winning Streak to Three

Oak Hill had won two straight games and Jace Tonagel did his part to make it three on Friday. The Oak Hill Golden Eagles strolled past the Eastbrook Panthers with points to spare, taking the game 53-37 thanks in part to Tonagel, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Oak Hill's points.

Eastbrook's loss came despite strong showings from Jayden Younce and Malakai Luthy. Younce posted 11 points, while Luthy had nine points. That's the most points Luthy has posted since back in January of 2024.

Oak Hill is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.9 points per game. As for Eastbrook, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Oak Hill will challenge Southwood at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Oak Hill is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54 points per game this season. As for Eastbrook, they and Eastern will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played.
