On Wednesday, Seminole Ridge was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 54-48 to Clewiston. Seminole Ridge has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
When it comes to explaining why Seminole Ridge lost, one person who can't be blamed is Calvin Warren. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 16 points and 18 rebounds. The match was Warren's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jonah Pio, who scored nine points.
Seminole Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Clewiston, their win ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3.
Seminole Ridge won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Palm Beach Gardens at 7:30 p.m. on December 14th. Palm Beach Gardens presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Seminole Ridge in Florida (Palm Beach Gardens is ranked 176th, while Seminole Ridge is ranked 675th). Clewiston will be home for the holidays to greet LaBelle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
