Soccer Recap: Shadow Creek Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

If Shadow Creek was riding high fresh off their 7-0 takedown of South Houston last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Shadow Creek Sharks fell just short of the Sam Rayburn Texans by a score of 4-3 on Friday. The Sharks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Texans earlier this season, when they won 5-1.

Kiana Puna and Kori Johnson scored all three of Shadow Creek's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 21 goals.

Shadow Creek's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-5-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those five contests. As for Sam Rayburn, they moved to 9-10-1 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

As of now, neither Shadow Creek nor Sam Rayburn have any future games scheduled.
