Basketball Game Preview: Perkins Pirates vs. Oak Harbor Rockets

The Perkins Pirates are taking a road trip to challenge the Oak Harbor Rockets at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 61-27, which was the final score in Perkins' tilt against Bellevue on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Oak Harbor entered their tilt with Otsego on Thursday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 48-25 win. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 32-11.

Oak Harbor pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Perkins, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Everything came up roses for Perkins against Oak Harbor when the teams last played back in January of 2022, as the squad secured a 62-27 win. In that matchup, Perkins amassed a halftime lead of 37-14, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Saturday.
