Volleyball Recap: Harmony Takes a Loss

Harmony was the 2-1 winner over Gilmer when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles fell just short of the Buckeyes by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Harmony started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-18, 15-8.

Gilmer's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brie Jones led the charge by getting nine digs and two assists. That's the most assists Jones has posted over her last three contests.

Harmony's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Gilmer, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Coming up, Harmony will square off against Sabine at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gilmer, they have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Chapel Hill on the 23rd.
