Haddon Heights found their leader in underclassman Cinque Matthews, who rushed for 72 yards and two touchdowns.
West Deptford's defeat was their sixth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 2-7. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 4.8 points per game. As for Haddon Heights, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-2.
West Deptford will be playing at home against Egg Harbor Township at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Egg Harbor Township is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak. As for Haddon Heights, they will head out on the road to face off against Oakcrest at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Jersey (Oakcrest is ranked 122nd, while Haddon Heights is ranked 142nd).
