Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pine Tree). They claimed a resounding 85-49 victory over the Henderson Lions. Given the Pirates' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 591st, while the Lions are ranked 1337th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Pine Tree is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 20-12 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points over those games. As for Henderson, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-24 record this season.

Looking ahead, Pine Tree will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Athens at 6:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Athens comes in on ten and Pine Tree on three. Henderson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
