Baseball Recap: Eastern Quakers vs. St. Johns Redwings
Eastern had lost 23 straight at home dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 4-24 to make it 24. They lost 19-0 to the St. Johns Redwings. If the Quakers were looking for revenge after losing 9-2 to the Redwings when the teams met back in May of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Eastern saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordan Costellano, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.
As for St. Johns, their win bumped their record up to 10-14. They not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 11th (when they won 22-1).
On St. Johns' side, they got a massive performance out of Nolan Koenigsknecht, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and two RBI. The Redwings are undefeated when Koenigsknecht posts two or more runs, but 6-14 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Collin Buzinski, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two doubles, and one triple.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: St. Johns beat Eastern by a score of 20-0 later that day.
