Volleyball Recap: Fatima's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Fatima had already won seven in a row and they went ahead and made it eight on Tuesday. They blew past the Eugene Eagles 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Comets also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Fatima was: they took every set by at least 15 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-7, 25-8.

Fatima can attribute much of their success to Leah Muenks, who had seven digs and three aces. That's the most digs Muenks has posted over her last eight matches.

Muenks wasn't the only good server: Fatima was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 20 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in three consecutive contests.

Fatima's record now sits at 12-2. As for Eugene, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-6.

Fatima didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Owensville on the 17th. As for Eugene, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Osage on the 18th.
