Baseball Recap: Bullard Makes It Nine in a Row on the Road

Bullard had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the Hargrave Falcons on Friday as they made off with an 8-1 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Panthers, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Jackson Holt was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs and one triple. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Tate Wynne, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Bullard was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hargrave only posted a batting average of .091.

Bullard pushed their record up to 26-7 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Hargrave, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 21-9-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Bullard beat the Falcons by a score of 3-1 later that day.
