Basketball Recap: Andres Martinez's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Snyder over Sweetwater

Snyder was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 49-42 to the Sweetwater Mustangs. The Tigers were not able to make up for their loss to the Mustangs from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Snyder lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Andres Martinez, who posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Krystofer Salazar, who earned seven points.

Snyder's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Sweetwater, they pushed their record up to 5-9 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Hereford the next time they take the court. Snyder will host Hereford at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while Sweetwater will head out to face them at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
