Basketball Recap: Sheridan's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

Sheridan entered their game against Licking Valley on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. 2025 welcomed the Sheridan Generals with a 78-56 loss courtesy of the Licking Valley Panthers. The Generals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Licking Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brody Rodgers, who went 9 of 13 on his way to 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamden Walker, who posted six points along with ten assists and six steals.

Sheridan's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-4. As for Licking Valley, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-3.

Sheridan wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 52-48 loss against Northridge on the 4th. As for Licking Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 61-58 win against Ridgewood on the 4th.
