Basketball Game Preview: Coconino Panthers vs. Lee Williams Volunteers

The Coconino Panthers just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Lee Williams Volunteers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Coconino is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Thursday. They were dealt a 57-29 defeat at the hands of Mingus.

Meanwhile, Lee Williams was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 64-23 loss at the hands of Flagstaff. While losing is never fun, the Volunteers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 209th, while the Eagles are ranked 34th).

Lee Williams' defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Coconino, their loss dropped their record down to 6-13.

Coconino beat Lee Williams 44-37 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Coconino since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
