Softball Recap: Rossville Extends Home Winning Streak to Nine

There's no place like home for Rossville, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They had just enough and edged out the Santa Fe Trail Chargers 3-1. This was payback for the Bulldogs, who suffered a 5-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Rossville pushed their record up to 1-2 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Santa Fe Trail, they moved to 5-2 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Chargers beat Rossville by a score of 11-3 later that day.
