Basketball Recap: St. John's Bluejays vs. Kalida Wildcats
St. John was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Kalida Wildcats, falling 57-23. While losing is never fun, the Bluejays can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 692nd, while the Wildcats are ranked 244th).
Kalida's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Meredith Bockrath led the charge by going 6 of 10 on her way to 15 points in addition to six boards and four steals.
