Volleyball Recap: Lafayette Central Catholic Falls to Harrison in First Game of Season

Lafayette Central Catholic had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 3-0 to the Harrison Raiders on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Knights in their meetings with the Raiders: they've now lost three in a row.

The final score came out to 25-9, 25-4, 25-7.

Lauren Johnson paced Lafayette Central Catholic's offense, picking up four kills. Johnson got some help from Paige Perez and her six assists.

Jillian Deno had a dynamite game For Harrison., getting eight digs and five aces. That's the most aces Deno has posted since back in September of 2024. Kaylee Swihart was another key player, getting ten digs and three aces.

The victory (which was Harrison's third in a row) raised their record to 4-2.

Coming up, Lafayette Central Catholic will head out on the road to challenge Logansport at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Harrison, they will welcome Westfield at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
