Soccer Game Preview: East Valley vs. Fulton

East Valley is 2-8 against Fulton since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The East Valley Falcons will challenge the Fulton Jaguars at 2:30 p.m. East Valley is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games.

East Valley gave up the first goal on Monday, but they didn't let that get them down. They beat Northridge Academy by a goal, winning 2-1. Two seems to be a good number for the Falcons as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of goals in their previous game.

Manuel Garcia and Adrian Vichez scored both of East Valley's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 16 goals.

Meanwhile, Fulton kept a clean sheet against Sherman Oaks CES on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over the Knights.

Fulton has also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those five games. As for East Valley, they pushed their record up to 9-2-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

East Valley came out on top in a nail-biter against Fulton when the teams last played back in January, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for East Valley since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
