While Proctor Academy's win against Holderness wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Hornets had just enough and edged out the Bulls 10-8. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Hornets considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Jack Read was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 11 over 4.1 innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in May of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season.
