Flag Football Recap: Point Loma Comes Up Short

After flying high against Madison last Thursday, Point Loma came back down to earth. The Pointers fell just short of the University City Centurions by a score of 14-12 on Tuesday. Despite 130 more yards than the Centurions, the Pointers couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Although Point Loma took the loss, they still got scores from Abby Laroux and Ella Poulin.

With the defeat, Point Loma broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-6. As for University City, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-4.

Coming up, Point Loma will welcome Hoover at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for University City, they will head out on the road to square off against Mission Bay at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Buccaneers' defense has only allowed 12.3 points per game this season, so the Centurions' offense will have their work cut out for them.
