Basketball Game Preview: Broken Bow Indians vs. Minden Whippets

Broken Bow and Minden are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2016, but not for long. The Broken Bow Indians will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against the Minden Whippets at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday.

Broken Bow is coming home looking for redemption after taking a loss in their road opener. They lost 70-50 to Holdrege on Friday. The Indians just can't catch a break and have now endured six defeats in a row dating back to last season.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Dominic Nowak, who posted 12 points and five rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Braxtton Johnson, who had ten points.

Meanwhile, Minden beat Lexington 60-47 on Tuesday.
