If Research Triangle wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Franklin Academy, they should've done a better job of containing Bella DeLiso. The Franklin Academy Patriots enjoyed a cozy 49-32 win over the Research Triangle Raptors on Friday thanks in part to DeLiso, who went 7 for 12 on her way to 14 points along with six rebounds and four steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Emily Zeck was another key player, putting up six points and ten boards. She has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last three times she's played.

The victory got Franklin Academy back to even at 10-10. As for Research Triangle, they are on a 30-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-17.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Franklin Academy will venture away from home to square off against Wake Prep Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wake Prep Academy will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something Franklin Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Research Triangle, they are taking a road trip to face off against East Wake Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
