Baseball Recap: Merritt Victorious

Merritt proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 12) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-8 victory over the Blair Broncos. The win continues a trend for the Oilers in their matchups with the Broncos: they've now won five in a row.

Merritt's victory bumped their record up to 5-7-1. As for Blair, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-6 record this season.

Merritt wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 20-8 win against Snyder on the 8th. As for Blair, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-3 victory against Hobart on the 8th.
