Soccer Recap: Cedar Creek Comes Up Short

Cedar Creek lost against Bastrop back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Cedar Creek Eagles fell just short of the Bastrop Bears by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 550th, while the Bears are ranked 79th).

Cedar Creek has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. Bastrop has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That lines up perfectly with their 12-0 record this season.

Cedar Creek will face off against Anderson at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Anderson will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Cedar Creek surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bastrop, they will square off against Navarro at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Bastrop's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Navarro's offense will have their work cut out for them.
