Preview: Marshfield vs. Bolivar
The regular season was a success, but the real challenge begins now, in the postseason. Marshfield will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Bolivar at 7:00 PM. Marshfield are coming into the game hot, having won five in a row.
Marshfield put the finishing touches on their 4th blowout victory of the season last Friday. They blew past Logan-Rogersville 33-0. Among those leading the charge for Marshfield was junior Brennan Espy, who rushed for 139 yards and 2 touchdowns. This marked the 4th match in which Espy has rushed for over 100 yards.
As for Bolivar, they had a rough outing against Fort Scott two weeks ago, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Bolivar enjoyed a cozy 41-21 victory over Central.
Marshfield took a serious blow against Bolivar the last time the two teams met, falling 0-38. Can Marshfield avenge their defeat, or is history doomed to repeat itself ? We'll soon find out.
