Volleyball Recap: Florence Comes Up Short

Florence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the La Vega Pirates.

Florence's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for La Vega, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Florence didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Snook on the 28th. As for La Vega, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Memorial Christian Academy on the 28th.
