Volleyball Recap: Royal Palm Beach Comes Up Short

On Wednesday, the Royal Palm Beach Wildcats didn't have quite enough to beat the Lake Worth Christian Defenders and fell 3-2. While the Wildcats didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Defenders 25-11 in the first set.

Royal Palm Beach actually scored more points across those five sets (100-95), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 11-25, 25-21, 25-20, 19-25, 15-9.

Royal Palm Beach's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-2. As for Lake Worth Christian, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Looking ahead, Royal Palm Beach is taking a road trip to square off against Santaluces at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lake Worth Christian, they will be playing at home against Sports Leadership & Management at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
