After flying high against Liberty Charter on Thursday, High Tech Mesa came back down to earth. The Thunder took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chula Vista Learning Community Charter Cobras on Tuesday. The Thunder's loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Chula Vista Learning Community Charter scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-18, 24-26, 25-17.

High Tech Mesa's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 9-8. As for Chula Vista Learning Community Charter, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. High Tech Mesa will take on Mira Mesa at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Chula Vista Learning Community Charter, they will face off against Liberty Charter on Thursday.
