Softball Recap: Willits' Run of Five Straight Victories Now Over

Willits and St. Vincent de Paul squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Willits had to settle for second. They came up short against the Mustangs, falling 14-2. The Wolverines' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Willits saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abigail Sherf, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Willits' loss dropped their record down to 15-10. As for St. Vincent de Paul, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-8.

Looking ahead, Willits will head out on the road to take on Biggs at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Biggs will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Willits surely won't give up without a fight. St. Vincent de Paul does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
