It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Lawrence Academy had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Kerr-Vance Academy Spartans as they made off with an 11-1 victory. The Warriors are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 12 straight.

Patrick Lundy made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. Lundy was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, one triple, and one double. Those four runs gave him a new career-high.

In other pitching news, Creek Johnson looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in eight consecutive appearances.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Simon Lundy, who went 3-for-4 with two triples, three RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Eason, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run.

Lawrence Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .452. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kerr-Vance Academy only posted a batting average of .167.

Lawrence Academy's record is now 18-6. As for Kerr-Vance Academy, they moved to 10-15 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Lawrence Academy beat the Spartans by a score of 7-6 later that day.
