Basketball Game Preview: Norwalk Warriors vs. Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs

The Norwalk Warriors are taking a road trip to square off against the Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Norwalk has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Norwalk is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They came out on top against Indianola by a score of 74-64 on Friday.

Meanwhile, Dallas Center-Grimes had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They strolled past the Indians with points to spare, taking the game 49-33. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 45th, while the Indians are ranked 175th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Dallas Center-Grimes has also been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.5 points per game. As for Norwalk, the win got them back to even at 8-8.

Norwalk couldn't quite finish off Dallas Center-Grimes in their previous matchup back in January and fell 49-47. Can Norwalk avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
