Vanguard extended their home winning streak to seven games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Terrance Lewis. The Knights took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 42-3 victory over the Leesburg Yellow Jackets with plenty of help from Lewis, who threw for 272 yards and four touchdowns on only 18 passes, and also rushed for 44 yards and one TD. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last three times he's played.

Vanguard's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Leesburg, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Vanguard wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 20-7 victory against Dunnellon on the 19th. As for Leesburg, they have also already played their next contest, a 42-0 loss against Land O' Lakes on the 19th.
