Football Game Preview: Providence Christian Academy LIONS vs. Franklin County Rebels

The Providence Christian Academy LIONS will face off against the Franklin County Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Last Friday, Providence Christian Academy came up short against Notre Dame and fell 28-21. The LIONS have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Defeat or not, Providence Christian Academy got some senior leadership from Porter Dedman and Joshua Meier. Dedman rushed for 126 yards and one score, while Meier rushed for 83 yards and one TD on only eight carries.

Meanwhile, Franklin County was beaten by South Pittsburg 41-7 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Rebels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee football rankings (they are ranked 224th, while the Pirates are ranked 80th).

Providence Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Franklin County, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
