Softball Game Preview: Menasha Bluejays vs. Oshkosh North Spartans

The Menasha Bluejays will head out on the road to face off against the Oshkosh North Spartans at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Things were looking good for Menasha after they put the first points on the board on Wednesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of De La Salle by a score of 5-4.

Meanwhile, Oshkosh North unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 6-2 to Green Bay Preble on Tuesday.

Oshkosh North saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Olivia Borowitz, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Menasha now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Oshkosh North, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.

Everything went Menasha's way against Oshkosh North when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Menasha made off with a 9-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bluejays since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
