Volleyball Recap: Rancho Dominguez Comes Up Short

Rancho Dominguez lost against Banning back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lobos lost 3-0 to the Pilots.

Rancho Dominguez was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-18, 25-14.

Rancho Dominguez has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Banning, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Rancho Dominguez will host San Pedro at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Banning, they will be taking part in a tournament against Diego Rivera at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Huskies will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Pilots surely won't give up without a fight.
