Mound-Westonka had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over the Southwest Christian Stars. Four seems to be a good number for the White Hawks as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Mound-Westonka's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Southwest Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-6.

Mound-Westonka wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 5-4 win against St. Peter on the 16th. Southwest Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
